Abbeydale

Drop Hammer 4.3% abv
This is a new mid-brown ale from the Sheffield brewery.
Black Mass 6.6% abv [SILVER AWARD WINNER]
A strong black stout, quite bitter and dry but full flavoured with characteristic hop aroma.

Acorn Brewery of Barnsley
Wombwell, Barnsley

Barnsley Bitter 3.8% abv
This Champion Beer of Britain (Silver) is brewed using finest quality Maris Otter malt and English hops. Chestnut in colour, well rounded and rich flavour with a lasting bitter finish.
Silver Star 4% abv
A festival special produced for Barnsley Beer Festival.
Darkness 4.2% abv
Aromatic roast malts give a deep red colour and Fuggles hops give a mild level of bitterness and aroma.
Barnsley Gold 4.3% abv
This award-winning golden beer has good bitterness levels, with a fresh citrus and hop aroma. CAMRA Champion Beer of Britain Finalist 2004 and CHAMPION beer of Rotherham Oakwood Festival 2004.
Old Moor Porter 4.4% abv
A full bodied Victorian style porter with hints of liquorice. The initial bitterness gives way to smooth, mellow finish. SIBA National Champion Porter, Old Ales and Stout 2004.
IPA 5.0% abv
Traditional India Pale Ale dominated by fruit and hops, light golden in colour with a flowery aroma.
Gorlovka Imperial Stout 6% abv
Named after the Ukrainian twin town of Barnsley, this brew is a deep ebony coloured imperial stout with bags of malt, spicy hop bitterness and a fruity dry finale.

Jack O'Lantern 4.5% abv
A new beer that replaces the festival special that is in the printed programme.

Concertina Brewery
Mexbrough, Doncaster

Club Bitter 3.9% abv
A fruity bitter with a good bitter flavour. Brewed in the cellers of the Concertina Band Club.

Elland Brewery
Elland, West Yorkshire

Bargee 3.8% abv
Pale brown, grainy session bitter. Fruityaroma and taste complemented by a bitter edge in the aftertaste.
Elland Back 4.6% abv [BRONZE AWARD WINNER]
Golden beer, with a light citrus scent. Very bitter and perfumed. Thick and silky on the palate. A really good beer.

Wakefield, West Yorkshire

Malt Shovel Mild 3.8% abv
A dark, full-bodied, malty mild with an abundance of roast malt and chocolate flavours, leading to a lingering, dry, malty finish.
Empress of India 6% abv
A strong, light-coloured, malty beer with a complex bitter palate. Fruit and malt dominate the aftertaste.

Glentworth Brewery
Skellow, Doncaster

Light Year 3.9% abv
Hoppy, crisp session beer, light in colour.
G B Gold 4.5% abv
A new light, hoppy premium bitter.

H.B. Clarks & Co (Successors) Ltd
Wakefield, West Yorkshire

Classic Blonde 3.9% abv
Award winning ale at Barnsley Beer Festivals in the past. A light-coloured ale with citrus and hoppy flavour, a distinctive grapefruit aroma and a dry finish.
Wendy's Blossoms 4.0% abv
A festival special brewed using hops grown from the old Oakwell brewery. Now a secret supply grown locally in Barnsley, by Wendy.
Rams Revenge 4.6% abv
A rich ruby dark copper coloured ale. Well balanced with its roast barley and malt. It has a deep fruity taste with a smooth dry finish.
Hammerhead 4.8% abv
Amber coloured ale with a pleasant fruity palate and a long lasting flavour.

Kelham Island Brewery
Alma Street, Sheffield

Kelham Gold 3.8% abv
This light golden, hoppy and smooth drinking beer replaces the festival special that is in the printed programme.
Easy Rider 4.3% abv
A pale, straw-coloured beer with a sweetish flavour and delicate hints of citrus fruits. A beer with a hint of flavour rather than full-bodied.

Little Valley Brewery
Hebdon Bridge, West Yorkshire

Withens IPA 3.9% abv
New to the list and not in the programme. A creamy, gold-coloured, light IPA. Floral hops, spice and citrus aroma. Clean, bitter aftertaste.
Hebden's Wheat 4.5% abv
Yellow coloured, hazy, fruity beer with aromas of coriander and lemon.

Naylors Brewery
Crosshills, Keighley, West Yorkshire

Mothers Best 3.9% abv
Well-balanced with plenty of malt and hop character, this mid-brown bitter has a pleasant fruity aroma and bitter aftertaste.
Jacks Couldron Special 4.8% abv
This is a new seasonal beer.

Oakwell Brewery
Barnsley

Old Tom Mild 3.4% abv
This dark mild is exported from Barnsley and is available throughout Britain, very rarely seen in and around the area. Enjoy.
Barnsley Bitter 3.8% abv
A nut brown coloured bitter with a roasty malt aroma. Dry, hoppy and roast malt flavour with a bitter finish.

Salamander Brewery
Bradford, West Yorkshire

Hill Billy 3.8% abv
A new session beer from this brewery. It was possible that the name of the beer will change when the beer arrives. And it did, this was listed as Salamanda.
Golden Salamander 4.5% abv
Citrus hops characterise the aroma and taste of this premium beer, which has malt undertones throughout. The aftertaste is dry, hoppy and bitter.

Thornbridge Brewery
Bakewell, Derbyshire

Blackthorn Ale 4.4% abv
Blackthorn is a beautiful light golden ale with wonderful grapefruit and lemon aromas. This fruity brew benefits from an excellent medium body and biting bitterness to the finish.
Jaipur IPA 5.9% abv [GOLD AWARD WINNER]
Complex, well-balanced with a fine blend of citrus and other fruit flavours, mixed with a slight sweetness and ending with a lingering bitter finish. Hoppy and dangerously drinkable.

Old Autumnal 5.5% abv
A new strong seasonal ale.

George Wright Brewing Company
Rainford, Merseyside

Kings Shillin’ 4.5% abv
Top of the tree. Superb Styrian Goldings taste mixed with Maris Otter Malt – magnificent.
Cheeky Pheasant 4.7% abv
An award winning premium ale balancing perfectly the full fruitiness of the malt with the bitterness of the hop.
