Reserve Tickets On The Door
Barnsley CAMRA would like to apologise for the problems with ordering tickets on-line, adding to this the postal strikes, it was decided that we would change to reserve tickets via email request on the door.
Where Else Can I Get Tickets?
All tickets are still available at, the Keel Inn (01226 284512 - after 7pm) and the Gatehouse (01226 282394) in Barnsley and possibly still at the Kelham Island Tavern (0114 272 2482) in Sheffield.
Margaret was selling through the post but due to the Royal Mail strikes these are now moving to email or phone (10226 714492) requests to hold at the door.
We apologise for the problems anyone may have had ordering tickets and hope this solution will help.
DISCLAIMER
We serve over the course of the festival 28 real ales. All but 3 were available when we opened on Saturday evening.
We cannot guarantee all beers will be available at all times. Popular beers will inevitably be drank first, however we will endeavour to provide a good choice of real ales throughout the event until it is simply not possible.
CIDER
We had 10 Ciders available (8 Saturday evening).
FOOD AND DRINK
Food at this years festival was provided by Lisa, the landlady of the Keel Inn, who was four and a half months pregnant so ab big thank you and well done. The food on offer was just the stuff you need for a festival, hot and cold sandwiches, pie and peas, burger and chips, that sort of stuff.
CAMRA PRODUCTS STAND
The 'Every '1s' A Winner' Tombola stall went mobile this year and proved very populer and great fun, the quality of prizes also went up and thanks go to everyone who donated prizes. The new Good Beer Guide 2008 was on sale till we sold out. A raffle for our Charity the Tykes Disabilities Football Teams, was also populer and again thanks go to everyone who took part and to those who donated prizes. All prizes were clamed on both the Friday and Saturday evenings. |
