We served over the course of the festival around 30 real ales mainley from the breweries in South Yorkshire.
We cannot guarantee all beers will be available at all times. Popular beers will inevitably be drank first, however we will endeavour to provide a good choice of real ales throughout the event until it is simply not possible.
However all the beers were available as we opend on Saturday evening last year...

CIDER AND PERRY

It is planned that traditional cider and perry will be available again but with a bigger range. 9 in all.

FOOD AND DRINK

Burgers, pie and peas and sandwiches at all sessions. Food will be available from around 6pm till 9.30pm each evening and 12noon till 2.30pm on Saturday.
Free Soft Drinks will be available from the CAMRA Real Ale bar for the designated driver of your party and for kids on the Saturday lunch session.

CAMRA PRODUCTS STAND

The 'Every One's A Winner' Tombola stall is great fun, and the new Good Beer Guida 2006 will be available. A raffle for the Riding School for the Disabled Charity will be held and drawn on Saturday evening at 8.30pm.

FESTIVAL FUN AND GAMES

A range of traditional pub (board and table top) games will be available for use during your time at the festival, donation to the Riding School Charity will be greatfully accepted.
Beer festival battlships was very populer!

CHILDREN AT THE FESTIVAL

Lunchtime is always the ideal time to bring the family to the festival, and the licencee allowes well behaved children into the pub during the lunchtime session. A small family area is available near the main CAMRA bar.

The Festival is held at the Keel Inn Public House on Canal Street, Barnsley. Next door to ASDA (Barnsley) - an excellent location and a fine venue for a small beer festival. The Keel Inn is located on the edge of town, only 10mins from Barnsley Interchange train and bus station. Easy accessible by road links from the M1 and A1 on the A61.

Getting to the Beer Festival by public transport couldn't be easier. Travel across the country by bus or train to Barnsley Interchange.
(Walking) From the Interchange (rail platform 2 side) with the town hall directly in front of you, walk down (right) Eldon Street North. When you get to PC World, cross the roads using the crossings provided towards the Beer Festival, Keel Inn and ASDA.
(Bus) From the Interchange catch any of the buses listed:
2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 11a, 30, 52, 53, 59, 96, 235 the next available bus will be shown on the TV screens around the Interchange telling you where to catch it. The price is about 65p. "Ask for the ASDA, Old Mill Lane". Once moving, you should only be on the bus for 2 mins.
These buses will take you just past ASDA (left) PC World (right) and then you walk back (up) to the beer festival at the Keel Inn (about 3 mins).
