Good Beer Guide Voting - Now On

Barnsley Main

CAMRA is divided across the whole of the UK into Regions; these Regions are then split up into individual Branches. Barnsley Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) is in the Yorkshire Region, within the administrative county of South Yorkshire, and is one of four branches in that area. Barnsley's Membership currently stands at around 320 members.

hops and beerThe aim of the Barnsley CAMRA website is to give the reader information on the activities of Barnsley CAMRA as well as news on beer, pubs and events in our area. We hold regular Branch meetings, trips to pubs and breweries and other social events. We are part of a national organisation that aims to promote real ale and cider, as well as preserve the traditional British Pub. Nationally, the campaign has over 108,000 members and is growing month on month. Click on the CAMRA logo on the top right-hand-side to find out more information on the organisation nationally.

Barnsley Yahoo Group LogoBarnsley CAMRA Yahoo Group
The Barnsley CAMRA group is a low usage group where Barnsley CAMRA members can pass on relevant and local news on pubs and local news stories. The branch now has over 300 members, so rather than wait for the news in the BAR, post it, or read it here. This is also used to remind members of socials, meetings and other events coming up.
You must be a BARNSLEY CAMRA MEMBER to join this group.

phoneBarnsley Branch Contact: Margaret Croft is the first person to contact; Margaret will help you if possible or put you in contact with someone who can help with your particular query. Margaret's phone numbers are - 01226 714492 (H) 07734 155792 (O2 Mobile). You can find her email address and other contacts information by using the Contact Us link at the foot of the page.

shtml Logoshtml?
While you browse the site you may notice that our pages end with the shtml extension as well as php instead of the more familiar html or htm. The editor has opted to use Server Side Includes (SSI). If used properly, the SSI can help make pages more responsive and as is the best for a volunteer run site, can even help make maintaining the site an easier task.
